The Majestic Castle
An Unreal project made to find out how the engine actually works, by building something big enough in it to hit the parts that are hard.
The result is a realistic castle level with multiplayer, horse riding, sprinting and an energy bar, which between them cover movement, networking and state.
Learning an engine by finishing something in it
Following a tutorial teaches you the tutorial. Setting a target that needs riding, sprinting and a second player in the world means finding out what the engine does when you ask it for those.
